At our Hackdays individuals interested in data, food & innovation are brought together to jointly develop new solutions for a transparent, efficient, and fair food industry based on open food data. We’re excited to invite you the next Open Food Data Hackdays on the 27th and 28th of January at EPFL in Lausanne (Register here) as well as on the 16th and 17th of February at alte Markthalle in Basel (Register here).  If you care about food, no matter if it’s due to ecological, health, social or gourmet reasons, this is the place to be! Engineers, designers, agriculture and nutrition experts, entrepreneurs and students are brought together to jointly develop new solutions for a transparent, efficient, and innovative food industry based on open food data. During the Hackdays you get the chance to work with like-minded team members on a project idea you care about and have the support from Open Data right at your side. If you are selected as one of the most promising projects, you will be part of our incubation program for several months. Please visit food.opendata.ch for more information and further details about new data sets, project ideas as well as our Slack group will follow within the next weeks. make.opendata.ch Election Hackdays in Zurich & Lausanne

< p style="text-align: justify">We will put politics and election data at the centre of our next make.opendata.ch Hackdays:
On September 4 and 5, 2015, designers, programmers, journalists, specialists and citizens of all backgrounds will be working with open data on the subject of politics and elections.
The Election Hackdays will be held at two venues in parallel: The offices of Neue Züricher Zeitung (NZZ) in Zurich and Le Temps in Lausanne.

Open Research Data Hackdays 2015

Am 5. – 6. Juni 2015 lädt make.opendata.ch alle interessierten Designer, Programmierer, Journalisten, Ideengeber, Fachleute und Laien zum Open Research Data Hackday in Basel und Lausanne ein. Gegenstand des Hackdays werden offene Forschungsdaten aus verschiedensten Wissenschaftsbereichen sein.

Im Rahmen des Projektes Open Research Data (ORD@CH) des Programms SUK-P2 (Schweizerische Universitäten Konferenz) wird die erste Publikationsplattform für offene Forschungsdaten in der Schweiz realisiert. Am Hackday bietet sich die Gelegenheit, in die Plattform Einsicht zu nehmen und ihr Datenangebot besser kennen zu lernen. Ausserdem werden die am Projekt partizipierenden Institutionen (FORS, Digital Humanities Lab der Universität Basel, ETH SIS/ Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics) und weitere Teilnehmer aus dem Forschungsumfeld spannende Datensätze aus ihren Wissenschaftsbereichen zur freien Verfügung bereitstellen. Die Projektleitung von ORD@CH und make.opendata.ch bitten deshalb, sich den folgenden Termin sowie die Koordinaten vorzumerken und freuen sich auf eine rege Teilnahme: Verantsaltungsübersicht:
